Lake Louise

I finally got around to visiting Lake Louise, I had been to the ski resort before, but not the actual lake itself. As you know by now, it is completely frozen, however some parts look as if its starting to melt.

It’s thick enough to walk upon currently, making you also able to ice skate in certain spots, such as featured above the ice sculpture castle.

The Fairmont Chateau hotel located directly behind this photo, was incredible on the inside. I am going to find the time to stay there while the lake is frozen and possibly another night long after it has melted.

You will also find people walking their dogs, enjoying the view or playing ice hockey. Outside they also have an ice-bar that is open a couple nights of the week.

Lake Louise has been known for the stunning colours that are clearly visible during summer, its high mountain peaks and its recreational perks.

I can’t wait to come back here!

Hope everyone is traveling well! Be sure to keep up with me on Instagram and Facebook!
